Based on the descriptions and the sourceforge notes, it seems to me that the XMetal add-in is to simply use FrameMaker as a PDF output engine. The free Adobe plug-in that is due out shortly lets you use FrameMaker as your authoring environment. Eric L. Dunn Senior Technical Writer
