Hopefully, the problem is due to numbering series. How is the autonumber
string defined? What other series are used in the documents? How are the
captions created?

In the Numbering properties of the captions, check whether you have two
different series labels:
For example,
S:-\t and F:-\t
Or perhaps you have written for the problem paragraph. Perhaps it
was imported from Word or something.
