Hi Fred, I have always been a book learner, but I have had a hard time understanding XSLT, even after reading 3 books on the subject. I just started the class last week, and the lights are starting to come on. The course includes 481 pages of notes to supplement the course slides, so it is definitely a good value. This is definitely not for everyone. XSL can make your brain hurt. But if you take it in small doses over time, you might find that it really is useful .. that is .. if you work with XML. Yep, but like so many things (CSS, HTML5, EPUB, XML, DITA, Extend/FrameScript) little doses over time can make a big difference.I sat in on an XSLT session by Dave Gash at the STC conference this spring and it helped turn on the lights in under an hour!I'm hopeful this might take me to that next level.
