Yes, I also use that method when more info is needed.  But there are 
times when all you need are the words in the error message, and the 
simplicity and speed of copy/paste is invaluable at those times.

Yes, I also use that method when more info is needed.  But there are

published internally a little time-saving tip for our testers.  I think 
I've posted it here before, too, but thought it might be time to repeat it:


If you receive an error message when you are testing Windows-based 
software, try pressing CTRL + C before dismissing the message.  This 
command may succeed in copying the message content to the clipboard, so 
that you can paste it into your feedback to the development team.  (You
