I haven't had an e-mail from the list since the 15th. What happened?
Will this e-mail get through? Or maybe everyone's problem is solved?
Please respond directly to me and not to the list only.
Best regards,

Without making an assumption that FrameMaker users reside and work
primarily in the U.S.A., this is a long holiday weekend in the States,
so it certainly would account for a large reduction in queries and
banter on the list. I don't remember if I saw posts yesterday after our
weekend.

Thanks,
At least my e-mail is coming through. :-)

Odd. What does the Book file say? I am not quite clear based on your
earlier post what is the problem.
Some questions:
1. Does the [bookfile-name].book show all the files that you deleted
from the directory or place they used to be at? Then they should
really show the files with a preceding questi

is pretty historical at this point. :-)

Dear Framer Folks:
Has anybody ever used the <$nopage> index variable?
It's a good thing and a bad thing. When put into an index ref it will
generate whatever text you designate, usually "see also . . . " This saves
unnecessary duplication of entries, e.g. "Utility knife/Knife, utility."

Hi -
Does anyone know how to create the Apple Command character (?)
(Option-8 on a Mac) in FrameMaker Windows?
Thanks.
Pat
Oops, my mistake. I'm so used to typing bullets. I need to create the
Apple command character.

Hi,
We are migrating FM doc to XML / MathML.
Does anyone have a workflow for moving equations? Adobe's documentation
has you exporting the equations as binary files, which is not then editable.
Thanks

Try IndexRef (http://sundorne.com/FrameMaker/IndexRef/indexref.htm).
It's a little utility I wrote to solve this problem. There is a 30 day
evaluation available so you make sure it works before buying it.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
