Hi,
I am trying to use the Smart Paste feature in FrameMaker 2015 to convert an
XML snippet to a slightly different structure. I am looking for a small
tutorial or example of how to set this up. All of the DITA Smart Paste
stylesheets are large and hard to decode. If I had a simple example, I a

I hate that I have to keep going back to the "File Edit Format View
Special" for the dropdown list that closes with each selection.

I'll be interested in this one as well. I put the icons in the "ribbon" but
that means I *have* to use the mouse.

I am interested in this, too. Can this be posted to the list? And, Rick, could
you consider posting your result or perhaps doing a short webinar on this once
you have a simple working example?
Thanks.

John,
There are a series of menu bar items for this, or at least there used to be.

I don't know if these still work (they're from Frame8), but these are the

Sorry, I was on a different computer with no access to FrameMaker. In FM12 that
toolbar is under View > Toolbars > Track Text Edits.
I hope I've understood your question correctly. It wouldn't be the first time
if I didn't. 😉

Depending on the version... In FM2017 View > Toolbars > Track Text Edits
opens the toolbar. In document you can also press F7 and type in most
commands on the toolbar if you want to stick to keyboard approaches to flag
stuff. Or use the Esc sequences.

Bernard...I know its on the Tool bar. However, everytime you makde a
choice, it closes and I have to start from scratch. Example...select Scope
and pick Document. It closes. Open back up and select Disable. It closes.
etc. I want them in a pod where I can click bing bing bing, done.

What FM version is that on? I just tried on 2017, 2015, and FM12 and it
"sticks" when I have it open. That is, I open the toolbar and try to select the
scope, enable, disable, etc. No issues.
Did you run any updates? Maybe Adobe patched stuff (or broke it) between dot
releases and patches.
