Does nobody know how to attach a file, such as an Excel file, as an icon,
that when PDF'd and the icon is clicked, it opens the file?

Possibly Shlomo Perets can do this with his TimeSavers.
I doubt, if you can do this with the regular FrameMaker and
Acrobat features.

embed an entire file as an OLE object, as you're doing.
