Another note about file types: If you are using EPS files that DO NOT have embedded TIFF 'previews', then there's nothing for FrameMaker to show (IIRC; and if that hasn't been changed post-FM8). David,Strange. I am also running the 424 version of Frame 12 on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop. My source is maintained in a CMS. I just tested a book, which contains more than 100 graphics imported by reference and didn't see any problem. All of my graphics are either .gif or .jpg. Could this be related to the graphic format? I know that a vector graphic would require more resources than a bit-mapped graphic. If you are loading vector graphics, i.e., .eps, you might just be seeing a lag during the import.
