The Mouse's Scroll Wheel in FM 7
Hello list, KatMouse http://www.code-scout.net/katmouse worked for me (FM 7.0 on Windows XP SP2). cu, Guido
The Mouse's Scroll Wheel in FM 7
FM 7.0. Windows XP, SP 2 3 Course developers and one editor. As our former Co. sold itself to IBM, we all received identically imaged new laptops. We all installed the same version of FM 7. For two of us, the mouse's scroll wheel works in FM. For two others, it does not - which for them - is very inconvenient. (As it would be for me, as well.) Any idea's? Suggestion's? ~ John ~ Sr. Learning Specialist, Educational Services MRO Software (An IBM Company) Phn: +1.781.280.2003, Fax: +1.781.280.2201 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Maximo 5 Certified, Maximo 6 Certified EAM Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management ___ You are currently subscribed to Framers as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send list messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visit http://lists.frameusers.com/mailman/options/framers/archive%40mail-archive.com Send administrative questions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit http://www.frameusers.com/ for more resources and info.

FlyWheel. Freeware, though you have to mock *register* it. Make sure you read the directions on the website. This is the only thing I've found that works for me. It also does a lot of other very nifty things. For two of us, the mouse's scroll wheel works in FM. For two others, it does not - which for them - is very inconvenient. Try the older Logitech driver at this location: http://www.front-runner.com/tools_and_resources/files.html Note that new Logitech drivers don't work because they no longer include a necessary option. FWIW, I was never able to get that to work. FWIW, I was never able to get that to work. FlyWheel is the only thing that has enabled me to use a scroll wheel with FM. I had the opposite experience. FlyWheel didn't work for me, but the Logitech driver did. There's probably a setting somewhere in Windows that affects each user's results, and might explain why John has a working scroll wheel on two computers, but not the other two. In any case, I believe the problem was fixed in FrameMaker 7.1. Even the latest Logitech drivers work fine with it now. I use a program called FreeWheel, which solved the problem for me. With FreeWheel, you can even tell it to only work in Frame, so it doesn't interfere with other applications.
