Know any hunters, whittlers, or chefs? I had a co-worker who would
whittle during meetings work on mine and they came back dangerously

Hey Frameworks - I have recently purchased a 16mm film guillotine splicer
and I am looking to either get the blades sharpened or replaced. Does
anyone know a business or person who can do this for me at a relatively
economical price? Thanks.
Best,
Josh Weissbach
There used to be a place up north of Boston that would do a tune up on
splicers. Don't know if they are still in business. Probably not cheap either.

16mm Projector with xenon lamp, no lens, lamp might be worn out
35mm filmtower for projection of one entire film +
I have had my guillotine splicer for more than 35 years and NEVER had to
sharpen the blade. The reason you may be getting sloppy splices is that the
blades are not alligned correctly.
When making a splice hold the roll of tape after to placed it on the film
and push down on the splicer. The
sorry for grammatical errors,

hold the roll of tape after it is placed onto the film, gently push back
the tape so it is straight and tight. Then lower the splicing unit.
