The 35mm Sistiaga film was shown several years ago in San Francisco
unfortunately with a very loud and overbearing soundtrack of live “music”
(inescapable electronic noise and thumbing bass as I recall). I really don’t
know why they do that.
There seems to be a couple of digital relics on
*era erera baleibu izik subua aruaren *was the first cameraless film I ve
ever seen in my life before I knew what that meant! I remember seeing in at
the cinema projected in its original 35 mm cinemascope, and I remember
seeing things like shoes, or objects whatever. Some years later I got to
know
Now this is a really interesting suggestion. This film is quite
spectacular. On my one viewing, I was in many ways disappointed, but
that could change on later viewings, and in any case it is unique, not
really like anything I have seen, and anyone interested in abstract
filmmaking should see
I will recommend Jose Antonio Sistiaga´s *era erera baleibu izik subua
aruaren ...* (1968–70).
A feature lenght cameraless film of pure abstract imaginery.

I don’t think they’ll distribute it on bookstores anywhere soon. Try trough the
website to see if they’ll ship it to you. If not, let me know and I’ll see how
much would cost to send it to you myself.

Esperanza,
As fas as I know it has only been available through Ambulante’s website or
during their events. So that’s it. I still have to get my copy so I can’t speak
about the edition but 300 pesos is quite accesible (around 16 dollars - which
to me is a nice change from the 40 to 70 dollars
