Re: [Frameworks] Developing Problems
The strange thing is I always use 1200ml for two super 8 films and have never had a problem. I might start putting in an extra 100ml just to be on the safe side in future. I would put at least 1,5 l. Hope your next experiment will be more sucessful ! Marianne On Thu, Mar 8, 2012 at 9:11 PM, Kevin Timmins on-on...@hotmail.com wrote: Hi, Having more lomo tank problems. Used both tanks tonight with new chemicals, two films in each tank and 1200ml of chemistry. All films came out but both films on the top spiral have a black edge. Is it possible an area of the film has been above the chemistry in the tank? Is that generally what black clipping means on the upper spiral? Re: [Frameworks] video to film printing
It's not generally the cheapest thing to get done, and I don't know if there are any super cut-rate vendors that provide this service, but Metropolis in NYC is a place I know a lot of filmmakers use for digital-to-16mm. Colorlab (Maryland) can do it, but not sure what their prices are like for that specifically. Cineric in NYC might also be able to. And I don't know if it would be cheap enough to be worth it, but Synchro Film in Austria could also do it last I checked. For a very low-cost solution, my friend Misa in Belgrade has developed a home-spun frame-by-frame kinescope system on 16mm or 35mm that he provides for commercial releases. [Frameworks] Contact info for Joe Gibbons?
I am curating a show of Super 8 films from the 1980's, and I would like to get Joe Gibbons' permission to screen a print. If anyone knows how I can contact him I would really appreciate it. I was a student of Joe's a few years ago so we are not strangers, if that helps at all. thanks tara merenda nelson ___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks
