Sarah Biagini has a really excellent 16mm film called I SWIM NOW:

and her Vimeo page has a number of other short works making quite elaborate
use of the optical printer, including Ikiru Wipes, in which she isolates
all the different wipes in
Check in with Kate McCabe. It might not meet the last five years
requirement, but she has contemporary, traveling matte films that were made
on an Oxberry.

Pat O'Neill is the first one that comes to my mind, a total master using
creatively the optical printer. My personal favourites are Sidewinder's
Delta and Saugus Series, but he has a lot more.

I am putting together a screening of films made on the Oxberry Optical
Printer that concentrate on travelling mattes and composite images rather
than blow-ups or speed changes.
