Opendcp is freeware to make your own. It's a little tricky and requires

Try playing your files on VLC player, it's freeware and may work just fine. I
wouldn't recommend h.264 since it's heavily compressed.

I agree that you shouldn't use 44.1 kHz and still see h264 as a streaming
format and not fit for theatrical projection. Unless the theater has a slow ass
computer of course. Find out if they have a dcp server wherever it is your
screening. If so then check out opendcp.org

Jordan Belson's Magical Motion Pictures
I saw some other wonderful Belson movies on vhs tape that day, such as
