You can buildin a different build dir. I believe all you have to do is
switch into doh! forget it I just tried. Hrm... I know kerberos can do
it, this could be something that I can actually do. :)

this could be really really dumb, but where on the cvs tree is
freeamp 1.5 work? is that the normal cvs tree? and how do you list
what projects are available on a cvs server?
probably dumb,

Do you mean besides the POSIX #define of NAME_MAX or the BSD #define of
MAXNAMLEN? (in linux MAXNAMLEN is defined as NAME_MAX). Don't
know if this helps w/ winders.
On my build of freeamp on VC++ 6.0 I keep getting this error:
Configuration: xing - Win32 NASM
As long as it's still human readable... :)

Just did a checkout of the 1.5 stuff. Got a bpp undeclared error. It's
in line:
ui/theme/unix/src/GTKBitmap.cpp:for (int bit = bpp - 1; bit
= 0; bit--)
anyone care if I make it 32?

this is still not defined on my solaris 2.6 system:
typedef unsigned int socklen_t;
I just copied it from my linux headers...

This seems to be only a problem w/ freeamp.ui cause I can do:
freeamp -ui freeampcmd *.mp3
and play loads of songs that way. Though it freeampcmd still seems to
want an X connection. If you don't sent DISPLAY it bitches.

here's fonts.alias from /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc... hope it works.
I think I have a three line fix. But freeamp seems to be going into
those routines a lot. Doesn't it make sense to get the fonts available
at startup and then just keep using those available, and not just
continually poll for
If you bothered using strncpy shouldn't you have bothered using strncat?
And I thought there was a #define for the MAXPATHNAME or something
similar. Would make this nicely platform indiependant and not just
generically big.

Too much kernel hacking makes one used to -p1. :)
