This is the same talk I've given previously at EuroBSDCon, AsiaBSDCon,

enhanced from the version that I gave at BSDCan last year (the first
time I gave it).

Weird typo -- maybe Freudian. That should read "couldn't watch", not
"couldn't want".

I was using the linuxpluginwrapper port successfully with Flash video on
6.1 not long ago. I couldn't want YouTube videos in the browser at the
time (though I can now, with nspluginwrapper on 6.2), but that's why I
had youtube-dl. Alas, I haven't had any opportunity to check whether I
have the same problems with that setup for the video in question, since
I'm now using 6.2 and nspluginwrapper.

Not here, with the same setup. Firefox just locks up here. With Opera

It also appears to work fine in the browser using the FreeBSD-native
Firefox using the Linux Flash 7 plugin and the nspluginwrapper port.

Use keepvid.com for downloading the flash movie in another format. Also VLC
and/or mplayer should run flash movies.

Google Video actually allows you to explicitly download an AVI of the online

Work fine with Seamonkey, Firefox and Linux-firefox. With the last
one you can even look at it inside the browser instead of having
to download it seperately.

Google Video relies on a Flash plugin to play -- I have no problem viewing the
page using Mozilla w/o the plugin, but obviously no live video. If I click
"Download" for "Windows/Mac", the download begins and runs fine. On my Mac,
the Flash support in Safari has no problem playing it. I've not tried using
the Linux or other flash plugins on FreeBSD recently, and as a result I get
fewer crumby ads. :-)
