Hi,
in mid 2015 I did submit a patch[1] to add an USB product ID to improve the
out-of-the-box experience for owners of i-tec USB 2.0 Docking Stations. As
there is no state change on the report since then, I am wondering if I did
address this the wrong way. I'd appreciate of one of the
to see that FreeBSD hardware
driver availability is so close to Linux in these areas.
Do you expect the changes to get introduced in a 10.1 release someday,
or should users of N2230 track CURRENT for the next months?
Kins regards

will
definitely do more investigation here, but before I do I'd like to
know if the bsd.java.mk already supports staging, or if this is a case
for staying with NO_STAGE temporarely?
Best regards,
Matthias

Hello,
regarding this PR I made some further observation. Even the
acpi_ec_write seems to not have any effect on the brightness, the values
set to the appropriate register (IBM_EC_BRIGHTNESS 0x31) survive a
reboot.
Looks like the values are stored correctly, but EC doesn't care for them

It's the same issue when I run in console only mode (without Xorg,

What Lenovo model are you using?
Hello,
regarding the issue mentioned in the subject (Lenovo Thinkpad X121e not
able to resume after suspend to ram) there is finally some progress. I
found this few months old discussion[1] on freebsd-acpi (related to

Hello,
on a Lenovo X121e (Model 3045-79G, i3, HD3000) I try FreeBSD since 9.1.
Wifi, LAN, Audio, USB peripherials and Video (with KMS patch) just
working fine. Anyway, there are some open items:
* LCD brightness control doesn't work
* Suspend to RAM (S3) doesn't restore video after resume
