Or you could use something like Network Engines servers and AdminEngine that
have built in out-of-band management...even if the main OS loses its lunch,
you can still reach the machine (including power cycling, temp. detection,
etc.).

Much less potential for accidentally nuking your hardware if your script is
broken and starts toggling machines on and off like mad..
