I observed this many times: Ubuntu VM comes up with a black screen.
Sometimes resizing the window helps, and sometimes it doesn't help.
Does anybody know why does this happen, or how to cure this?

I observed several VM abort events on 12.2 amd64 host with 13 and 14 guests.
VMs with one processor seem stable, but when I tried to assign 6
processors - they abort under load.

Cinnamon in Arch linux VM always says "You are running in a software
acceleration mode", despite having up-to-date client additions and 3d
acceleration option in the VM settings.
Anybody knows how to enable acceleration?

It is supposed to "float up" when the mouse pointer is moved down, but
it doesn't for FreeBSD guest (after a while of work in the full screen).

was the cause for me. This mix was
introduced by latest curl update.
To fix this run (cd /usr/ports/ftp/curl make config) and select
GSSAPI to be *not* from base. I chose 'heimdal' option. Then force
rebuild/upgrade of curl, and VirtualBox will likely work.

After ports update today, now both VirtualBox and VBoxManage fail right

Another notable thing is that when I restart GUI this crashed machine
shows there as Powered off which is wrong, VBox crashed when it was
running, this isn't just normal powered off state.
Host is not affected.

this is a
failure of a basic command that many are likely to run.
In addition texts in window displayed by msiexec have messed up
characters (wrong fonts?). Not sure why, but I see this across many
programs ran by wine, digitaleditions would be another example.

In Ubuntu-64bit guest install flash plugin and in firefox open
pandora.com and pick some artist (in their flash app).
Music plays but keeps cycling, stopping.
