I can't spot anything obvious in the config menu for apache22 or
apr-ipv6-devrandom-gdbm-db42 1.4.2.1.3.10 that would lead to python
dependency. Here's my selections:
Options for apache 2.2.17_1
[ ] THREADS Enable threads support in APR
[ ] MYSQL Enable MySQL support
Maybe this is configurable in the port? I don't think apache22 depends
on python at all, but maybe some apache plugin does.
I'd try with make config install clean

Antonio

I am trying to achieve is to upgrade the currently install
Apache 1.3.x port over to the Apache22 port. The Apach1x got
installed through some ports which I built which if am not mistaken
was either Cacti or Munin.
Anyhow, previously when running these guys and more on Linux I've
always used A
Hi guys,
after Google'ing around a bit I managed to stumble across this:

http://www.freebsddiary.org/portupgrade.php
what I am trying to achieve is to upgrade the currently install Apache
1.3.x port over to the Apache22 port

I wasn't sure if I should post here or on the apache list, but since it's an
issue with the port version, rather than the tarball, hopefully this is the
right place.
The install goes fine, no obvious errors anyway, when I do apachectl
configtest, I get
# apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 1
Hi!
Just FYI, I didn't get any response to the message I sent to the
port-maintainer. I do know they've been working on / releasing stuff
on this port in the meantime.
Since I don't see any other way to communicate to "a maintainer" other
than by list/email, I guess the right, next step is filin

Good news! This seems to make all other Ports generally happy. They
seem to find/use BDB like I intend.
But the apache22 Port still doesn't update, because of the "Unknown"
BDB version.
Is there some additional Ports-magic that I'm missing here?

It should be there under '/usr/ports/www/apache22', I installed it a couple of

Might be worth refreshing your ports with cvsup or
