Hello,
Does anyone have either an APC 1000va or an APC 1500va UPS? I was wondering

infected, but nothing else, no worms, and it didn't say with what. Given my

Ok, after about an hour of Googling and following several sets of
directions, I've not yet been able to sync my Palm Zire. Does anyone
have any pointers or suggestions?

a can not ping or ssh to machine b, from machine a's point of view it's as
if machine b doesn't exist, yet machine c has no difficulties interacting

three possible methods of operation, parallel, USB, and PCMCIA, in this case
only parallel is applicable. I need to burn using this burner, but have not

Hello,
I just upgraded apache and now it starts via rc.conf. I want to use:
apache_enable="YES"
apache2ssl_enable="YES"
but am unsure about the other options: apache2_limits, apache2_flags, and
apache2limits_args what should these be
cupsd driver type usb not found"
and it suggests i rerun configure with the --enable-usb option. I check the
port and one of the args passed to it's configure is --enable-usb.

Trying to update my perl port from 5.8.6 to 5.8.7. The updating of perl
itself went fine, but all the dependent ports on it like swatch, php, etc.
previously referenced modules that were included in 5.8.6, now they're not
working. What extra step do i do?

This gets up to about 5.4g then the errors start again. I thought about dump
but am not sure if that can read ext2 filesystems.

i've been through each bios for several hours now and i am not finding the

fbsd sees the modem's uart as a 16550a which again if i remember right tells
me that i've got the sio2 port and i/o right, just the irq is wrong. Did i

felt i had to. The compilation and installation of the chrooted kernel went
fine, putting the drive in the new system yields an unbootable drive. I've
checked the data and kernel are there. Any ideas why this procedure didn't

Sysinstall alows you to select and enable one, but not remove it!
Bit of an oversight that I suspect

having it all on a DVD locally, but it does work. You do need to
download the bootable Network install CD first though. Is that how you
started?

much larger block of memory. Wear leveling, not that common with SSD
Hard Drives, but very common with USB (Flash) memory sticks, only goes so
far.
SSD's have a place, but not for things like swapfiles or working data
