1) is it possible to have both freebsd 5.2.1 with KDE 3.1 and Windows 98 on

how come every time i try to launch KDE in 256 colors and select a screen
like 800x600 it always gives me a 256 color and something like 300x200
screen? how can i change it so that it runs like 256 color and 800x600 pixs?

Hi once again and very obviously i have ran into another problem. the
Xfree86 i installed KDE window manager or w/e. So i reboot after i login and
type startkde in the command prompt it gives me
xet : unable to open display
xsetroot : unable to open display
startkde : starting up...
startkde : Ru

I have this problem with the boot floppies, everytime i boot the
kern.flp then it asks me to push in mfsroot.flp. I follow the instructions
then it would reboot my computer but after it does reboot it doesn't enter
the installation and gives me a message ">>FreeBsd/i368 B

i am attempting to try FreeBsd on a very old computer, unfortunatly
it does not have any cd drive. And i do not know which files to install.
Leaving me with only 1 choice to use FTP servers but the problem is the
version of FreeBsd that i've tried does not support the network card
