Problems using screen

2003-03-03 Thread Daniel Graupner
Hello,

while pressing e.g. backspace or del in a screen session, the 'vbell'-message appears.
These Keys seems to be non-functional, thats very ugly.
(Freebsd 4.7, ports/misc/screen)
I read the manpage but couldn't find a workaround, maybe its terminal specific.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, Daniel.

Re: Help: Monitor/Keyboard Switch with freebsd

2003-02-06 Thread Daniel Graupner
hi all there,

just want to mention, that my problem is solved. Maybe anyone is interested.
Freebsd wants to detect the keyboard automatically, not a good thing
with an kvm switch.

Just search the line :
device atkbd0 at atkbdc? flags 0x100
this is your keyboard. The falg does the detection, simply delete flags
0x100 ... compile
your kernel...everything will work fine.

Strg+Alt+Entf ?!?!?

2003-01-17 Thread Daniel Graupner
Hello everyone,

when using strg+alt+entf in freebsd - reboot.
But I want to power off my machine when pressing this keys (halt).
...under linux it's no problem, there i can change the command executed,
when this keyboard-sequence occurs.

any advice??

thanks
