Hi Rob, It runs well but you have to turn ACPI off at boot... I never ran any benchmarks on them, but the performance is nice. I was curious to know if you were able to get the amd64 release of FreeBSD 5.3 to run on your system. I tried many times but the install hangs when it calls out to sysinstall. The 32 bit version runs fine. Re: playing a DVD with mplayer
Hi Peder, I agree with you, no need for a gui... But what I meant is I'd like to access the DVD (the disc !) menu, not the one of the software, a command line is much more efficient ;-) Ganaël LAPLANCHE [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel : (+33)6.84.03.57.24. -- Original Message --- From: Peder Blom [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Ganael Laplanche [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wed, 3 Sep 2003 17:31:02 +0200 Subject: Re: playing a DVD with mplayer On Tue, 2 Sep 2003 08:36:37 + Ganael Laplanche [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, Isn't there a mean to launch the full DVD and to navigate through the in a graphical way (as ogle or xine) ? You can define WITH_GUI when you build the port (see the Makefile). I also think that there are some graphical frontends in ports/multimedia that you might want to look at. But as I've never used any gui for mplayer I don't know if they bring in any additional functionality. Note that if you use the command line you can put options in ~/.mplayer/config so most of the time you just have to enter something like mplayer -dvd 1 to watch a movie. --- End of Original Message --- ___ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
