FreeBSD installation hanging
Hi freebsd-questions:-)i am trying to install freeBSD 4.6 for the first time. after completing the installation and rebooting the computerthe following message appears and the computer hangs.F1 FreeBSDDefault: F1-hitting F1 or enter does not start the loading process.what could be the cause of the problem? it is not a dualboot,but i have tried using both the boot mgr and standard MBR with the same effect. i have also tried installingthe whole distribution and a minimal distribution also with no change. thanksin advance 4 the help marc:-)
FreeBSD installation problem
Hi i am tryingto installed freeBSD 4.6. but on booting i keep on getting the message F1 FreeBSD Default: F1 - i have readthe FAQ'swhich say to put a small dos partition atthe beginning ofthe drive but thishas not worked. only giving a - (dash) at startup. any suggestions wouldbe most appreciable thanks in advance marc:-)
