configgen.sh automake problem
I'm having a problem with aclocal and Automake when I'm running configgen.sh for inkscape on FreeBSD 5.4. Here is the error: === Running aclocal... aclocal: couldn't open directory `/usr/local/gnu-autotools/share/aclocal': No such file or directory === Running autoheader... === Running libtoolize... === Running automake... configure.ac:12: version mismatch. This is Automake 1.9.6, configure.ac:12: but the definition used by this AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE configure.ac:12: comes from Automake 1.8.5. You should recreate configure.ac:12: aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again. === Running autoconf... === Configure script created successfully What is aclocal? There isn't any man page on it. How do I recreate my aclocal.m4 using the 1.9.6 version (which is installed)? ___ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

libm.so.4 problem when running program
I've just installed port 'fpm' on my FreeBSD5.4 with a current updated /usr/ports and fpm will not start. It gets this error: /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object libm.so.4 not found, required by libgnomeui.so.5 I've searched around but all people say is that libm.so.4 is part of FreeBSD6.0 not 5.4 does this mean I cannot update my ports to the latest ports out there? If so what do I have to set my cvsup tag to? gnome_upgrade problems
I'm trying to run gnome_upgrade.sh on my FreeBSD5.3_p2 system with a heap of ports which use the gnome libraries for example firefox. When I started gnome_upgrade.sh i ran it with this command: /usr/ports # sh ./gnome_upgrade.sh It kept bombing out on unfetched ports, so I had to go and get them and copy those into the /usr/ports/distfiles directory and restart with the same command as above. After doing this a few times it finished but it has removed most of my applications not reinstalling them as it said it would? Is there something i'm doing wrong here? Is there a was to resume when I restart the process? Am I expected to go through and reinstall all my ports which used gnome libraries again?
