Magic! I never bothered to check if putting the command *before*
wmaker in ~/.xinitrc would make a difference. Thnx.
The WindowMaker process typically *replaces* the shell interpreting the
.xinitrc script, you can notice that by the exec keyword in front of
it. Thus
