It seems that flash and the X composite extension don't get along. I
added the following to my xorg.conf:
Section Extensions
Option Composite Disable
EndSection
Now everything works as before. Thanks to Domenick at bsdforums.org.

After upgrading to xorg-7.3_1, linux-flashplugin-7.0r70 and
