How about the visual configuration to remove some devices that
aren't present in your system?

 should find a more common piece of hardware :-D )

Or a production release, perhaps.  Still, for laptops there are a lot
of nice improvements in 5.0...

Try 4.7 Release.  5.0 is new technology.  See:
