Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I checked the DirectoryIndex parameter. It has
index.html in it and there is a file index.html in the web area. Permissions
on it do allow it to be read. As i said i find it strange that it is showing
a folderized listing of the site vs. the main index page.
Thanks
check out that directive.

Hello,
I've got a 5.2.1 machine that has the latest apache on it via ports. Instead
of translating my index.html file i am getting a directory listing vs. the
page. Like instead of seeing the html home, favorites, and so forth on this
page, i'm basically given a directory listing. Any ideas?
Thanks
dear friendly FreeBSDers,

built to use pthreads. Both run through make and make install cleanly
without any problems. But when I try to start up Apache, I get
Hello,
I'd like to customize the apache2 port install. I'd like to use my own
layout file and to add some additional compile-time options. I've catted my
custom layout file on to the end of work/httpd-2.0.47/config.layout and
changed the layout option in the Makefile to reflect
A quick fix to a mistake I made in my previous post:

This should infact read apache13-fp, not -ftp. Sorry

Hello,
I have installed the apache2 port on my FreeBSD server: -
I have spent the evening looking on Google, FreeBSD, Apache & even M$
but I think I must really suck at searching, as I have come up with no
helpful links about Apache2 and FrontPage Extensions.
I wouldn't install them ex
