I'm new to SCSI and all it's subsystems and this is the first time I'm
having troubles with it. This morning I got the folowing kernel error

I know this card is not supported - is anyone planning on writing a driver
or is the card fundamentally not compatible with FreeBSD?
The 1200A is an Adaptec branded HighPoint controller. As such, I believe
that Soren's HighPoint driver should drive it.

I am having some issues installing FreeBSD (4.8 and 5.1) onto a server which
has a SCSI HostRAID (http://www.intel.com/design/servers/se7501wv2/index.htm)

When there are some intensive accesses to the hard drive, my machine

I can't say if it will ever be supported, but FreeBSD
does not currently support HostRAID arrays. You can
only use these controllers
Go into the card 29320's BIOS and configure your tape drive for non-packetized
negotiation. If this works, we can try a few other things in the driver to see
if it is possible to get things working in packetized mode.
