I've switched from FreeBSD 5.2 to FreeBSD 4.10 Release. I've lost the
ability to edit the /boot/device.hints file, since it no longer exists in
ver 4.10. This is critical to me since I need to add the mouse flag:
hint.psm.0.flags=0x100
This turns off the sync check which is what causes my mouse
I'm struggling here. I have read all the docs I could possibly find - from
both the Exim website and FreeBSD.org. I also tried newsgroups.
Installing Exim from the ports is easy - installs fine, and with couple
edits to mailer.conf and rc.conf - exim starts right up and works fine.

I need to log the message body of incoming and outgoing messages on my

system error informing me to upgrade expat2.
So I run my CVSUP get all the latest ports, then run it again with just
upgrading the BASE.
Now I upgrade to expat2 (expat-1.95.7) which was successful according to

That's a good point, but I don't make a practice of running NFS, and often
the servers are at different locations - not connected via any network.
So would I be correct in assuming that I would copy the entire contents
beginning at the /usr/ports level and all subdirectories?

CVSUP-MIRROR v. 1.3_2 freshly installed.
I got the cvsup-mirror port installed without any errors. The CVSUPD daemon
is running. I can connect to my mirror from another server. When I try to
update a ports collection (i.e. ports-editors) is will spit out the error:
