I'm very sorry! I had vars like WITH_APACHE=foo in /etc/make.conf!
It's ok in ports.

Installing php-fpm without apache

2011-06-27 Thread Pavel Timofeev
How can I install php-fpm without installing apache?
Is it possible?

[root@timp /usr/ports/lang/php5]# make showconfig
===> The following configuration options are available for php5-5.3.6_1:
 CLI=off "Build CLI version"
 CGI=off "Build CGI version"
 FPM=on "Build FPM version (experimental)"
 APACHE=off "Build Apache module"
 AP2FILTER=off " Use Apache 2.x filter interface (experimental)"
 DEBUG=off "Enable debug"
 SUHOSIN=off "Enable Suhosin protection system"
 MULTIBYTE=off "Enable zend multibyte support"
 IPV6=off "Enable ipv6 support"
 MAILHEAD=off "Enable mail header patch"
 LINKTHR=off "Link thread lib (for threaded extensions)"
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings

Only FPM is "on"

[root@timp /usr/ports/lang/php5]# make missing
www/apache13
textproc/libxml2
textproc/expat2

in spite of this I see apache13 as dependency

hi lystic,

finally i remembered to look in /usr/ports/UPDATING which says:

  As of PHP 5.3, a few extensions were removed from or included into the

  1) Delete the following packages (if installed):

 - php5-dbase
 - php5-ncurses
 - php5-pcre
 - php5-spl
 - php5-ming
 - php5-mhash

  2) Rebuild lang/php5 and all ports that depend on it.

Yes and no. pcre depends on the separate pcre package, and php will fail
in baffling ways is your pcre is too old.

The maintainer of the php port is aware of this but has declined both
to make a one-line change to the Makefile to use the bundled pcre
package, or an alternate one-line change to document the version
dependency.

Hmmm. This sounds indicative of a more serious problem than just something you
can work around quickly. I'm not at all familiar with this port though.

That is very odd. cpp(1) looks in /usr/include by default, without any -I
flags specified. As you state below that you have evp.h in
/usr/include/openssl/evp.h, I don't see why this would happen.

You'd use a make command such as the following, in the port dir:
make CFLAGS='-I/usr/include' install clean
That shouldn't be necessary, though, for reasons stated above.

>
> make -D"--with-openssl=/usr/include/openssl"  ???

No. If you wanted to add configure args, you'd use CONFIGURE_ARGS in a similar
manner to how my previous example used CFLAGS.

This is a strange situation. Did your web search for similar issues turn up
anything? Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, was there a PR on it? If
not, you may want to contact the port maintainer and see if they have any
assistance, or file a PR if there is not one already. Also, please post a
reply to the list with your `uname -a` output.

FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE installing php-imap

2008-10-24 Thread Grant Peel

Hi all,

I have a script that required php-imap extension installed but I keep
running into a 2 snags when 'making' the port (mail/php-imap)...

First, I have to use the -DFORCE_PKG_REGISTER so openssl_overwtite_base
won't kill the make, which seems to work,

and, most importantly,

when the mail/imap-php port tried to actually do the build of the imap part,
it says it can't find (OpenSSLs) 'evp.h' file. I assume it is just failing
on the first file it can't find.

So, I guess the question is, when making the mail/imap-php port, is there a
way to pass the path for the OpenSSL libraries? My libs appear to be in two
places:

server# locate evp.h
/usr/include/openssl/evp.h
/usr/src/crypto/openssl/crypto/evp/evp.h

If I can pass the path, I assume I should use the /usr/include dir, but how?

make -D"--with-openssl=/usr/include/openssl"  ???

TIA,

-Grant

you most probably want to read a chapter in our Handbook located at
http://www.freebsd.org/handbook. That documentation is a great thing
:)

also, for your information - the php4 core port persists in lang/php4
directory.

just type make config, see what options are configurable. if you need
to configure any further things, you will have to edit Makefile and
add these options to CONFIGURE_ARGS.

For a side note, if you need php4 extensions, go for
lang/php4-extensions port and type make config a then choose
extensions you really need, do not use CONFIGURE_ARGS for this.

Installing PHP

greetings,
I have a freebsd 6.0-release box. I need to install php to use with
squirrelmail. When I go to /usr/ports/www and look for php4, I
see a lot of sub directories with names that aren't clear as to which
one installs php4.

So, anybody care to clarify this for me ?

Also, I need to configure php with the following options:
--enable-track-vars
--enable-force-cgi-redirect
--with-gettext
--with-mysql

which file should I put those in before make, make install ?

thanks,
Darryl

Re: Installing PHP/MySQL (was no subject)

The way I typically do it is install MySQL from the ports tree, then
install PHP from the ports tree. While installing PHP, it will ask
what options you want to compile into it. Just check to make sure you
tell it MySQL and you'll be all set.

Stuck in a Loop installing PHP

2004-07-26 Thread Lance Earl
I am new to FREEBSD and am tring to set up a web server to replace my
redhat box. I installed 4.8 by selecting the Developer method and
everything installed without a hitch. I then upgraded the ports database
using cvsup, again, no problems. I then installed Apache v2 from a port,
no problems. It was while installing mod_php v5 that things got out of
wack. I started the install from a port around 6:00pm and it ran all
night. The next morning I was surprized to see that it was still working.
It was a Saturday so I left it alone to do its thing. Saturday evening it
was still working. It appeared to be stuck in a loop as it would work for
a while and then pause on the same line. By late saturday night, I decided
that something was broken and shut it down.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
