I use this shell script:


#!/bin/sh
plist=`pkg_version -ovl'<' |awk '{ print $1 }'`
for porg in $plist ; do
cd  /usr/ports/${porg} && make config-recursive
done

Run it in "batch" mode. From man portupgrade(1):

Run an upgrading process in a batch mode (with
BATCH=yes).
