Dear all!
After mobo battery failed, being replaced, I got strange
hwpstate err 6 problem.
Qool and quiet, c1e and c6 are enabled. When they are, I
see this error. It makes no problem at all, but I dislike
to se it in console. Turning q'n'q off, it is gone.

usb stick I have. They are

and insert 16gb usb stick. Tried "newfs_msdos -F32 /dev/da0".
Mounted, copied files. The device does not see the file
system at all.
Any idea what to do further? Another option might be extfs.

Amd64, 9.3. Updated few times, packages also. At first I
found on laptop that /var directory was at 102%. Using
pkg clean i removed about 400mb of cache packages from
/var/cache/pkg. Tried to clean desktop cache and the out-
put of the command was nothing to do. I see about 400
mb of files in the

As the subject says, I finally found the way to
upgrade to 9.2 and recent packages using pkg. Now
I lost graphics, since nvidia driver fails to
handle screen. If I remove xorg.conf, x starts up,
but I have no input device available.
It is nvidia 520, tried both 319.32 and 304.88
drivers.
Error:
After a while, I found that I messed something.
Upgraded the system from 9.1 to 9.2 with freebsd-update.
Installed pkg. Used pkg2ng. It did some work, but made
no /var/db/pkg.bak directory at all. Now, I could see
either pkg version output just as pkg_version. So, it
was not converted to pkg
I binary upgraded to 9.2 and installed pkg, made pkg2ng.
Finally I did pkg update and pkg upgrade. Now, I have
old binaries, instead of new ones. I tried to issue
freebsd-update install the last time and it refused to
do anything, since there is nothing to install.
What I missed in this upgrade
Sorry to post twice, but I found txz files on my local
filesystem in /var/cache/pkg/All. So far, I see no way
to upgrade from there. I assume I could remove some db,
make new one and point pkg to packagesite?

for 9.1, has anybody tested it?
I prepared old laptop for something else and tried live cd
image out.

Well, I found only the mouse pointer freezing. I could jump
from one virtual desktop to another. Kb works too. When I
compiled new kernel, I just added in a hurry usb staff, in-
cluding ums. Since it didn't happen before, I could only
put a blame on usb code.
Finally got the kb. As almost everyone anticipated,
it refused to work connected to ps/2 adapter with
usb - ps/2. I had to recompile the kernel and put
usb code back.

I'd like to rip my cd-s to flac files using some
command line app, like cdda2wav or cdparanoia.
Using pipe to flac utility would be nice and the
way I'd take. What program acts in that matter?
Since cdda2wav is in the base, I suppose people
use it regurarly. Something like:

This thread solves nothing. Two positions are clear.
Also, I recall harder words on openbsd list, with a
lot shorter thread. The whole thing is finished and
should stay in that state. All next posts could be

What is the experience regarding udf on cd/dvd on 7.0?
I saw netbsd mail few days ago having those steps:
newfs_udf and mount_udf.

Now we also have terribly performing PostgreSQL on 8-core server. We
noticed the slowdown after moving PostgreSQL from 2xXeon 3.0
Apache+PostgreSQL server to dedicated PostgreSQL server. I collected
some stats (see attach) before moving to Linux.
I'm sure that some code optimization
I'd like to thank to all who helped me
with advice. Indeed, it is more suitable
to freebsd-bluetooth.
