Right now, my base install of FreeDOS 1.0 reminds me of a cross between
MS-DOS 3.3 and MS-DOS 5.0. I know there will probably be no equivalent to
MS-DOS Shell (courtesy of the Central Point Software UI) especially since
GEM is widely available.

converted. But DJGPP and Open-Watcom should become the Free-DOS
compilers. More GNU programs could be included into Free-DOS.

would be a good idea to include the loading of FDAPM in the FreeDOS
distro, as I think a lot of the people will try out FreeDOS in a VM.

My problem: I started my computer with a freedow floppy disc. then i
tried the sys command with sys c: fdos.bin on drive c.
But: it used drive f instead drive c.
It tried to write fdos.bin to f:\.fdos.bin
With sys c: c: fdos.bin i had no problem.

Ghostscript is in the next release but LaTeX is HUGE (at least on
linux), and I'm not considering it at present.
I don't think, that LaTeX is very usefull for the _common_ FreeDOS
user/developer.
