As for what specifically changed in each of those version updates, I couldn’t 
say.


Exactly that would have been my specific question. Who could answer it?


You would need to check the change log (if any) that is included in the 
respective package.


Yet you have added those updates, so I would have expected you to know?

Can you provide links to the changelogs so somebody who is less
into programming but still wants to help could summarize them
for this mailing list?

You would need to check the change log (if any) that is included in the 
respective package. 

With the wide range of text formatting and locations used by individual 
projects, I have not attempted to automate a method to parse individual project 
change logs to create a detailed summary of individual project changes. 

Although there is a lot of automation that is performed when I update packages, 
the overall process is still very time consuming. For example, from start to 
finish these few updates still took about 7 hours (from start to finish) to 
perform. However, a good piece of that time (maybe 3+ hours) was used by the 
automated tools chewing on the FreeBASIC files for things like timestamp 
preservation. 

Unfortunately, I just cannot dedicate the time required to cobble together such 
a detailed change list manually.

Thankfully, the entire process for both Interim Test Builds and Actual Release 
Builds is fully automated. All I need to do is fire up a related virtual 
machine and run “make”. The RBE will perform all the work to configure things 
and assemble a release from scratch. I come back an hour or so later and if 
there were no package or other issues (like size limitations) a release will be 
waiting.
