There are SATA adapters sold on Amazon that let a CF chip work on an SATA interface. You might checkout cf chips sold on Amazon by Komputer Bay. Sandisk sell the best chips but they are setup for cameras not computers. Sandisk chips are internally marked as removable this can cause a lot of

Hi Pirate, as far as I remember, it is common for SATA controller PCI or PCIe cards to include some BIOS, but if that is not working with DOS for you, even when booting from one of the SATA disks, Tom's suggestion to use smart IDE / SATA adapters would be the next best choice. Of course you

In pure DOS, such cards will probably not work unless they have their own boot ROM (BIOS extension) on-board. I believe SATA RAID cards typically did have their own boot ROM on-board, to allow RAID volumes to boot an OS. Those would definitely work in DOS as well. You don't actually have to use
