Re: [Freedos-user] IRQ 17 what?
Arkady V.Belousov пишет: IRQ numbers above 15 are function of Advanced PIC (APIC), which isn't supported in (old) DOS programs. And I don't know, how they implemented and how hard they support (in DOS). Both tasks are far from easy, even in multitasked protected OSes like Windows and Linux... Dear Arkady and collegues, There are so called controller-less hardware modems, both ISA and PCI, which are some intermediaries between win and usual hardware modems. (I have, for example, Intel (R) 536EP modem). They, partially, emulate COM ports. For many of them there are drivers under Linux and FreeBSD. Does anybody know at least one example of DOS driver for such almost normal modem? Are there any PRINCIPAL barriers in DOS architecture, to develope such drivers, apart it's not easy? [Freedos-user] Another CauseWay question
With the DOS4GW based programs, you need to include DOS4GW.EXE, the extenders main executable. But what do I need to include with my CauseWay based program? I found 4 CauseWay related executable in Open Watcom's binw directory: cwc.exe, cwdstub.exe, cwhelp.exe and cwstub.exe. Which is the extender's main executable? ___ A legújabb állások naponta e-mailben! http://ad.adverticum.net/b/cl,1,6022,103554,167934/click.prm ___ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
