I'll definitely have to check FLTK out. Does it support opening normal DOS programs? To make sure any program will run, the desktop is started from a batch file loop. If the icon on the desktop is configured for a normal program the desktop will terminate and pass the program name to execute

Hi all, I wanted to share with you my new FreeDOS distribution, Carbon https://sourceforge.net/projects/carbon-os. Carbon is aimed at users who want/need to use DOS programs and games, but aren't familiar with DOS. It's currently in Alpha, and is available as a .iso file to try out and install
