You are mixing Debian and Ubuntu repositories, I don't think that's a
proper solution in the long run. Server install on Ubuntu 18.10 should

Named is crashing here on start, but not if I disable the dyndb part of
named.conf. So I assume it's not getting data out of ldap correctly (or correct
