Hi there,
I seem to be having a strange error occurring during the past few days
that I think has something to do with the IP Pools Management. We use
two Ascend Lucent MAX 3000 NAS (the one with one PRI while the second
carries two). The problem occurs while there are more than 50 dialup
users

Hi all,
Second, I appreciate your try to create sql version of
ippool module (btw, why
it not process accounting on/off packets - recieving this
packet RADIUS server
should mark all IPs as deallocated?).
It does process accounting packets, stop record: unallocate the IP
I had to turn off Passive File Transfers in gFTP (under FTP/Options)

Hello,
We have finished the sql version of the ip module it can be downloaded
from here:

Issues:
1. It does not support multilink (MPPP), we had no need for this so did
not implement it.
2. We use transaction so could not use
Sorry,
Fixed version of the tar has been uploaded.

I am using the same pool configuration. This arrangemnt suits to our requirement but only one problem that we cannot stop it assigning the IP beyond our limit of subnet. Our last IP in the range is x.x.x.254 but when this too is assigned the next dial-in user get IP
-in user get IP which is not in our
subnet.
Is there any wayout. May be manual? I mean something like reset so that
radius start assigning IP from beginning of the range of IP address.
See the latest CVS snapshots, module rlm_ippool.
It handles IP Pools for you.

That's because there is no support for IP pools.
You can use 'Framed-IP-Address = 1.2.3.4+' to fake out

Is there anyone out there working on a dynamic IP pool management function
for FreeRadius?
Alternatively, just in case, does anyone know of another :-(
Linux-supported RADIUS server which does?

dynamic IP pool management should be and is
best done on the NAS. Trying to manage IP pools in RADIUS is very iffy
IMHO and prone to many more failure modes than I'm comfortable with.
