Hello Guys,
I have a question about radius over tcp, is it possible?
Can we use TCP instead of udp with freeradius (for more secure communication
link and some other reasons) and how?
can you forward me to necessary documentations if it is possible and I can
read and understand how.
Thank you
I used default installization, but I think during the installization, it
modifiy some OS files like managing enviroment settings or something like
this.
Anyway, like u said, I will check the debug list to make sure. Thank you

Hello everyone,
I am using DCCA in one of the systems. And I know that DCCA grant a quata
when a request comes from GGSN. For Example, when a access request come from
GGSN, DCCA rejects it depending on the AVPs OR accept the request and sends
a predefined QUOTA to the GGSN so that after the user
Hello everyone,
It can be a little weird to ask this question, if it is I am sorry but is
there any way to clone the FR application with everything related to another
machine with same OS?
If I am using FR on my centos and I want to install FR to another centos
with the exactly same configs.
Thank You for your reply but when I use tar which folder/files I should
backup? May be FR files are distributed under many different folders, how
can I succeed a error-less and guarentee backup of FR application?

Hello Guys,
Thank you for your replies, I decided to use as u said copytruncate and it
works well for me. It says that there can be some data loses between the
copy and truncate proccesses but it will not be a problem for me.
Thank you very much

Hello everyone,
As you know, FR has a radius.log file under /var/log/radius directory. I
noticed that inside the logrorate file, radius.log is set to rotate every
month. Like this :
/var/log/radius/radius.log {
monthly
rotate 100

I searched for if my huawei vendor accept volume limit AVP and it Does.. At
the earlier times, there was a diameter installed and when I look for the
old snoop files, I saw CC-Total-Octets. Nas reauthenticate when that value
is reached by the user. But when I add this attribute to the reply, no

Hello guys,
I recently installed freeradius server. I am only using the accounting
mechanism of the system for keeping logs. I am monitoring the server for a
week now and today I face with a problem that couldnt solve.
The problem is that, in the detail log of the client, I can see the

How can I read the debug output? Server is not running with -X parameter.

Thank you for your answer Alan. I understand how to re-play the packets using
radclient but I wonder if it is possible to see the debug output of an
existing running radius server with radiusd command without stopping it.

So this means that the best way to keep detailed debug log, I need to stop
the server and start it in debug mode I guess.
The only thing that makes me to worry is that when I redirect the output of
the command radiusd -X to a text file by using , it will generate a
huge text file in a day.
