test Radius with XSupplicant

in order to test my FreeRadius, I wanted to install XSupplicant-1.2.8, however the installation process failed because of a iwlib.h problem checking for iwlib.h... no configure: error: header file iwlib.h is required for Xsupplicant despite that I have already wireless-tools-devel installed.

Okay, in the radius.c file they call a function rad_chap_encode() that uses the password attribute. Is that what I'm looking for? It's a VALUE_PAIR type, so could I check and modify the password-length and password-strvalue in that function? Or should I back out and modify it in the auth.c

Yes, I restarted it several times. 10.2.8.150 is the AP's address. I guess there is nothing wrong with the AP. Just a moment ago, I noticed that I can't start radiusd daemon with 'service radiusd start' command. It gives the following error: [EMAIL PROTECTED] raddb]# service radiusd start

I used CA.all script to create certificates and ran it as root. I also run radiusd as root. What do the error codes mean? (6490:error) Oh, by the way, may be this is a little off-topic but can I authenticate windows xp users through peap without using a certificate? Regards, Onur.

Also check if the distro had freeradius already installed. The start script in /etc/init.d, unless replaced, will call the preinstalled version - not the one you installed. rpm -q freeradius (for rpm based distros). Do which radiusd to see if the one in the path is the one you want to call.
