Hello,
I am a bit new to FreeRDP and have just compiled the sources after many
steps following:
https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/Compilation
and with the additional "-DWITH_SERVER=ON"
cmake -GNinja -DCHANNEL_URBDRC=ON -DWITH_DSP_FFMPEG=ON -DWITH_CUPS=ON
-DWITH_PULSE=ON -DWITH_FAAC=OFF -D
uilds a full fledged server component on top of it.

Hello All,
My R&D development is going wonderfully now and the experimentation is

Hi All,
Lately, and for some time now, I have been on the hunt for a unified
solution that would allow me to run native remote connection applications
as well as seamless mode applications on Linux hosts to Windows clients as

Hi All,
FreeRDP is really awesome and is so much better than VNC for what I am
looking to try and accomplish.
I am looking over the FreeRDP documentation to learn more about the
software as well as to get a better feel for RDP and how it really works.

Just a quick update. The VS 2012 Express build did not work and I got a

Maybe I need to get another Visual Studio to try?
Any ideas?

Hi All,
Does Freerdp shadow server compile and run on Wayland?
I know that it compiles a d runs on X11 but was also wandering about
Wayland and have also heard about Mir as well but have not tried it yet.

Hi All,
I am investigating the use of FreeRDP for a project that is to be an
Ultra-Thin (small footprint) RDP client ISO that only has FreeRDP, a
kernel, and enough libraries to run the graphics.
It's an ultra-small self contained RDP/VNC client with that as the only
application on the complete d
Hi All,
As a follow up to this, I have been doing some research and it seems that
FreeRDP does, or at least did, have a DirectFB version.
Is it still possible to build and run that with the latest FreeRDP?
Thanks

Hi Joashim,
Yea, I looked at it in the past, but for my particular project, I need to
have a FreeRDP with probably no xserver and just found out about a DirectFB
version of FreeRDP that worked at some point.
This is an extremely interesting possible approach for me to use on a very
small FreeBSD
Thanks for the link, Mkie.
I will also look at it as well.

Hi All,
After a LOT of research, it seems that my efforts come down to trying to
locate the last FreeRDP source code release that supported DirectFB and
then trying to do what I to make it work on the ultra-thin special version
of FreeBSD that I am working on since all of the other display manager
Hi All,
In searching around, it looks like the FreeRDP 2.0.0-RC4 was the last
version that supported DirectFB.
I do not see a branch in the github site:
https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP
Where can I download it?
Thanks,
Lonnie

Greetings all,
I have been doing a lot of research lately and have come to understand that
Wayland is just the protocol (like X11) and it uses "Compositors" which
seem to be like applications with a built in server to provide the actual
graphics. This seems like each application is a customer vers
Hi Martin,
I played with directFB within FreeRDP a few years back as I wanted to use
it for a project but was not able to spend enough time on it and started
looking for another solution.
It seems that the FreeRDP folks pulled directFB support from FreeRDp with

Hello All,
I am trying to find out what the last version of FreeRDP was that had
framebuffer support?
Actually looking for a FreeRDP version with the simplest video support for
a possible port to a non-linux system with minimal dependencies.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All,
Can someone please tell me what the last version of FreeRDP was that
supported framebuffer?
Also, where can I get a copy of it as I have a specialized project
(non-Linux and non-Windows) that needs framebuffer support.
Thanks for any help that you could provide.
