I haven't played with any of these usb-to-rj11 in a long time but from what
I do recall it is picked up as an audio device. That way a regular telephone
can be used for mic/speaker for a softphone. Given that you should be able
to get audio to/from it using portaudio for starters. Pretty basic and

Just wondering if anyone is keeping an update to date git repo of
FreeSwitch? I been using git-svn to keep a copy on my machines but it
can be quite time consuming due to the per revision fetching. If there
was a repo to clone that would speed up the process considerably.

I'd rather it be a decision by the community as a whole and
authorized. Sure there are ways to have anyone who wants to on their
own. Thanks for the insight.

1.0.4 is quite old at this point so patches should be against trunk
from SVN to make sure they apply against the latest codebase instead
of the released version. Also the project prefers that patches be kept
in Jira for tracking purposes.

Thanks for the contribution
Libedit shared library isn't on the box and fs_cli needs it. It's
included as part of the FreeSWITCH build process so any boxes you have
FreeSWITCH installed on would have it.
You should be able to install libedit on the box you want to use
fs_cli on to fix this.

If it's not windows probably be safer to just do freeswitch -nc for
no console. Give it a little to start up then fs_cli should be fine.
netstat -anp can also be used to see that the ports have binded
correctly.

Why do you need it every second? If you want real time channel counts
you would be able to track each create/destroy even instead of
relying on the heartbeat summary.

You could also use mod_lcr to query the cost to aply to the nibblebill as well.
ODBC keeps the connection to MySQL open as needed and reconnects if need be.

mod_nibble uses ODBC. Via ODBC u can connect to mysql.

mod_nibble has it's own table design.

It may be possible to tweak it to use your current tables but I'd

Seems there was some major changes depending on what revision you are trying
to update from. A fresh SVN checkout might be the fastest fix and what I did
here once I couldn't update very old checkouts. Technically if you slowly
updated it from revision - revision until it was current that too
It depends pretty heavily on what you are trying to add function wise. If
it's more in depth using the event socket would allow it to be used on any
FreeSwitch server assuming it caught the dtmf and acted according without
having to modify the core source code/recompile. It might be a bit more
Any suggestions of what would be a good example in PHP using ESL to
document? I'll take a stab at writing something up this week but it would
help to have some idea what would be useful. I've used it and got it working
but rather document a generic real life example versus my unique use cases.

If they aren't attached directly to the FS box I guess you could call them
and play a recording and allow them to access their VM by creating an
outbound call w/ an ivr to a) see if u got the person vs VM etc then b)
allow them to get to their VM.

Glad to see someone pointing out how to get ODBC to work. =)

guess. Thanks again Ken.
