I've commited the new info_area.py to my WIP (WIP/Barbieri/), please
get a new copy (you must use authenticated login, since SF is 1 day
back for anonymous) and copy info_area.py and xml_skin.py over
skin/main1/, then start freevo and select the skin 'barbieri'.

Did you changed the way VideoItem works? Before we did have
videoitem.plot, videoitem.tagline, ... but now we still have these
attributes, but they're empty. Instead there is a videoitem.info, which
is a dictionary and has the keys plot, tagline, etc...

I am looking at adding a video streaming capability to Freevo to support
viewing video streams from other sources. The initial rollout would be for
viewing video streams off a Tivo using the Tivo vstream hacks and the
tivo-mplayer patches (http://tivo-mplayer.sourceforge.net).

Just found my own answer...
The mplayer class was written to cater for streams - so looks like it should
only be a matter of extending the videoitem class to query remote streaming
servers.
