Ok, so, I deleted the line setenv DISPLAY localhost:0.0 from my ~/.login file and then exited X, logged out (console) and then logged back in (console again) and checked. At that point, the environment variable DISPLAY wasn't set at all. I then started up X (via xinit) as I am accustomed

Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced an oddity where the window containing acroread, unlike all other applications windows, fails to have a standard sort of minimization button in the upper right hand corner of the window frame? Is this is a known problem? Is there a workaround?
