iMac G3 with 1 GB RAM running 10.4.11
The Mac takes a long time to get rid of the spinning circlethen
appears to load the OS. However, before the task is completed and I
can see the desktop, the Mac stops, leaving me with a blue screen.
DiskWarrior found some issues and repaired them,

Safe Boot by holding the Shift key at startup. If it gets to the login
screen, just restart and it should be OK. If it doesn't get to the

Is it the original hard drive ?
If it is , it is past its used by date and maybe due for retirement.

Does it just seem to take a very long time to boot or it doesn't boot at
all??? Also what it the processer speed??? I had this problem with a 366 G3
Clamshell iBook and it was running Panther 10.3.9 so I down graded it to Jaguar
10.2.8 and the problem went away... Now I know

I really like NTI Dragon Burn... Its pretty dumbed down so I can use
it without knowing a lot about dvd and cd formats.

I am still having no success. Here is everything I have tried:
installed original processor and jumper block and reset machine
Zapped Pram
booted into open firmware and typed reset-all, set-defaults
i've tried different installer cd's different optical drives
tried removing different ram chips
Hey Roger, How many tabs do you have open??? I have had some strange stuff happen too but not what your talking about... Very rarely an advertisement will open up on me and I don't remember clicking on it by accident but I noticed this by hitting a wrong key by accident, I think it's the "fn key"
