Well Macs are great machines, and they can detect, work with, or do anything
you want it to. If i plug my external HDD in, and it keeps on waking from
sleep mode,
it must be trying to tell me to unmount it before it goes to sleep
mode. What a smart Mac! =)

Hey everybody, it's Mark again. I recently bought a PM G4 Dual 1Ghz
quicksilver tower. It has 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, and either 32 or 64MB ATI
RADEON 9600 AGP graphics card. I bought it for a bargain because the people
who i bought it from said there is a problem with the power supply box.

i may be wrong, and no doubt someone will pounce on me if i am, but i
believe the GeForce 6800 for PC can be flashed to run on a mac. IIRC,
getting it to work in a QS would also involve taping over pins #3 and
#11 on the card. i seem to remember seeing details on this somewhere
on the web.
Greetings,
I suspect that your SATA drive is plugged into a PCI card, I would
make sure that you have the latest card's drivers and or check with
the manufacture to find out if there is a fix for your problem.
You might also want to take a look at your Console log to see id there
is any problems
ok, thank you for your input. I can try what was suggested, but i don't like
the ATXG4 solution, because i'm afraid i might fry my logic board.

tower.

Hello,
The alternative is to buy a rebuilt Quicksilver power supply on
line. There are several companies that carry them.
